AC Refrigerant Recharge & Leak Repair
When your air conditioner is running but not keeping up, or your home just can't get below 25°C no matter how long the system runs, low refrigerant is often the culprit. Refrigerant doesn't "get used up" — if the level is low, there's a leak somewhere in the system.
We don't just top up and leave. We find the source of the leak first using electronic leak detectors and UV dye, fix it, then recharge your system to the correct pressure. That's the only way the repair actually lasts.

Common Questions
How do I know if my AC is low on refrigerant?
The most common signs are: AC running continuously but not reaching your set temperature, ice forming on the refrigerant lines or indoor coil, warm air blowing from vents despite the system running, or a hissing/bubbling noise near the outdoor unit. We confirm with a pressure test.
Why won't you just top up my refrigerant?
Adding refrigerant without finding the leak means the system will be low again in 4–8 weeks — and you'll have paid twice. We locate and repair the source of the leak first so the recharge actually holds all season.
How much does a refrigerant recharge cost?
A recharge including leak detection typically runs $250–$500 depending on refrigerant type and the amount needed. R-22 is more expensive due to limited availability. We give you a fixed quote before starting anything.
My AC uses R-22. Can you still service it?
Yes — we carry reclaimed R-22 for servicing existing systems. Supply is limited and costs are higher than modern refrigerants. If your R-22 system has a significant leak, we'll be straight with you: a full replacement may make more financial sense than repeated recharges.
How long does a refrigerant recharge take?
Most recharge visits take 1–2 hours including leak detection, repair, and recharge. If the leak requires a more involved coil repair, we'll quote you separately and schedule accordingly.
